Job Description

You will serve as a LEAD PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT and COMMAND OPERATIONS GROUP of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The incumbent serves as the team leader for the Physical Security Program, providing direct oversight and coordination of the work performed by two subordinate security specialists. The duty location of this position is Naval Air Station, San Diego, CA.

**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading and managing physical security, anti-terrorism/force protection, emergency management, and loss prevention programs; 2) Conducting vulnerability assessments, security surveys, and emergency response planning to ensure compliance with security regulations and policies; 3) Assigning tasks, reviewing work for accuracy, mentoring personnel, and providing technical guidance as a supervisor; 4) Implementing and maintaining advanced security systems, conducting threat assessments, and developing risk mitigation strategies; 5) Coordinating with interagency partners to integrate force protection measures and ensuring readiness for various threat scenarios; 6) Developing and implementing emergency response plans, conducting drills, and providing training on security protocols and procedure; and 7) Interpreting and applying regulatory frameworks, such as OPNAVINST 5530.14, SECNAV 5510.30, and DoD directives, to dynamic operational environments.
