Job Description
This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (USW(I&S)), within the Directorate for Intelligence, Strategy, Programs, and Resources (ISPR). The USW for Intelligence & Security is the principal staff assistant to the Secretary of War (SecWar) and the Deputy Secretary of War regarding intelligence, counterintelligence (CI), security, law enforcement, sensitive activities, and other intelligence-related matters.
**Qualifications:**
The DCIPS occupational structure provides the foundation for managing the DCIPS pay structure. It consists of the following elements: mission categories, occupational groups, and work categories, work levels, pay band (for those DCIPS Components operating under the DCIPS pay banded structure using pay plan IA) and grades (for those DCIPS Components operating under the GG graded structure using pay plan GG), job titles, and competencies. You may qualify at the GG-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your experience with: 1) Evaluating sensor performance, coverage gaps and revisit rates to determine impacts o missile warning, battlespace awareness, and time-sensitive target mission; 2) Ensure interoperability with theater missile defense and tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems across Services, Intelligence Community and Missile Defense Agency stakeholders; 3) Supporting space based ISR acquisition and modernization programs; and/or 4) Conducting analysis of OPIR mission requirements into measurable performance parameters for detection, characterization, and warning timelines. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. A "certification" letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.
