Job Description
You will serve as a SENIOR AEROSPACE ENGINEER for the Structures Engineering Branch of the E-2/C-2 Fleet Support Team (FST) at FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The general responsibilities of the position are to plan, coordinate, conduct, and/or provide extensive engineering expertise while supporting in-service engineering on complex Naval aircraft and/or their associated systems.
**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) planning and coordinating engineering investigations and studies independently; 2) planning, coordinating, and solving specific, difficult air vehicle engineering issues requiring substantial analysis and evaluation of causes, effects, and alternatives; 3) leading and coordinating technical research of serious and complex engineering issues ranging across multiple technical fields and engineering disciplines; 4) demonstrating extensive experience in in-service engineering which includes repair, overhaul, modification, operation, maintenance, design, manufacture and to improve reliability and maintainability; 5) technically mentoring journey level engineers in the proper application of advanced structures engineering analyses, investigation, and problem solving. 6) Maintaining effective communication with superiors, peers, and subordinates regarding various engineering issues.
