Job Description

This announcement has been amended to extend the closing date to March 20, 2026. As a Supervisory National Bank Examiner, you will lead the National Bank Appeals, consumer appeals, and Bank Examination Questionnaire (BEQ) programs. You'll serve as a senior technical advisor to the Deputy Comptroller, managing staff and resources to ensure OCC policy adherence. This leadership role involves direct engagement with bankers and consumers while overseeing program assessment and strategic planning.

**Qualifications:**
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VI band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Experience examining or auditing a financial institution's adherence with laws, regulations and guidance related to bank supervision activities; AND Experience reviewing and adjudicating appeals from financial institutions. AND You must also possess a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting that you are authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks and federal savings associations. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
