Job Description

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff.

**Qualifications:**
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, degree with 5+ years of relevant storage experience as an Information Technology professional in an organization. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability (KSA) and Competency Requirements: Possess 5+ years of experience in Storage administration of SAN, NAS, Storage and Data Protection technologies, Architectures, Design, Administration and Support of Storage systems in a data center environment. Knowledge of Data and Storage system Security, Web Applications, Databases, VMware, Windows, UNIX servers and Kubernetes Containers. Knowledge of Local Area Networks, Wide Area networks, Operating systems, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and backup solutions. Knowledge of Network File share Administration CIFS and NFS Knowledge in Cloud Storage connectivity, Tiering to Cloud Expertise in Enterprise level NetApp, Pure Storage systems/arrays and Cisco MDS SAN switches is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft File NAS. Administration of File share and Windows NTFS Folder and File permissions, access, ACLs in an Active Directory environment Ability to develop and deploy customized solutions Certification in Storage Systems is preferred. Possessing certification in other storage and cloud technologies is a plus All employees within CAO are expected to demonstrate the following general competencies: Accountability, Adaptability, Collaboration, Communication, Customer Orientation, Knowledge of Relevant Policies, Procedures, and Processes, Priority Management, and Problem Resolution. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with peers, senior staff, information systems professionals, and the user community A strong desire to learn and expand on existing knowledge is a requirement. Ability to grasp fundamentals of new technologies quickly and employ in organization. Knowledge on Automation of Storage administration tasks and jobs using tools Troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to anticipate and resolve technical problems Ability to develop solutions to complex technical problems. Knowledge of platform specific operating systems and associated products. Knowledge of all phases of projects, systems analysis and administration. Security Requirements: This position requires unescorted access to secure offsite locations which require an identification badge. In order to be approved for the applicable badge, you must be a U.S. citizen. This position requires that the applicant obtain and maintain an applicable U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. We will not submit your application for a clearance unless you are a U.S. citizen. **Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance, a pre-employment drug-test) and a probationary period of 2 years.
