Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the CVN Fleet Support Branch (Code 432), Carrier Industrial Repair Division (Code 430), Contracting Office (Code 400), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

**Qualifications:**
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing pre-negotiation strategy and overseeing or conducting negotiations for contracts. Experience directing or performing post award negotiations involving contract changes or modifications. Experience in cost analysis principles and basic accounting practices as they relate to contract proposal evaluation and contract administration. Experience providing advice, training, guidance, and interpretation on procurement regulations, policies, and procedures. Experience both directly preparing and reviewing, as approval authority, all documentation involved in executing all phases of the acquisition process.
