Job Description

The U.S. International Trade Commission is an independent Federal agency that provides the President and Congress with high-quality analysis and technical support on international trade, tariff and competitiveness issues; investigates and makes determinations in proceedings involving imports claimed to injure a domestic industry or violate U.S. intellectual property rights; and maintains the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule.

**Qualifications:**

This includes any general and specialized experience, education, and/or selective placement factors mentioned. These are used to determine if you possess the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to successfully perform in this position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have one-year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 obtained in the federal or private sector which demonstrates all of the following:1) Demonstrated experience working with anti-discrimination laws applicable to the federal sector workplace, EEOC regulations/directives/guidance, U.S. Code of Federal Regulations; and federal policies, procedures and practices governing Federal civil rights programs, affirmative employment, alternative dispute resolution, and the EEO requirements and the discrimination complaint process outlined in 29 C.F.R. Part 1614; AND 2) Working collaboratively with personnel across a federal agency's workforce, from different levels in the organization, to advance EEO program goals; AND 3) Supporting or leading projects, special emphasis events or projects; AND 4) Demonstrated experience serving as an EEO Counselor in the pre-complaint counseling stage outlined in 29 C.F.R. Part 1614. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
