NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTER

THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This ND National Guard position is for a NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTER, Position Description Number D232000 and is part of the ND 119 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, National Guard.

**Qualifications:**
PCS STATEMENT: PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION COSTS WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THIS POSITION. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess the experience which demonstrates the ability to set up and operate test equipment, use test apparatus to apply tests to material or products, record readings, observe and record established reactions, and classify according to defined categories. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess 18 months of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience classifying test results, identifying material deficiencies, and recommending courses of action for items of equipment; 2) Experience performing scheduled inspections of testing equipment ensuring compliance with established technical regulations and procedures; 3) Utilize current techniques to observe, measure, and detect discontinuities and flaws.
