The primary purpose of this position: is to ensure adequate Security Forces and force protection support is maintained for resources and personnel Ensures USAF, MAJCOM and wing policies and standards are met and provides technical guidance for training of IDS operators, test development for both operator certification and IDS testing to ensure performance criteria.
**Qualifications:**
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is an NH-03 position with full salary potential within that band, however the initial salary range offered for this position will be $104,349.00 - $161,313.00 which includes locality pay percentage, unless statutory rules prevail. Follow on salary increases based on contribution MAY be earned within the full salary of the NH-03 pay band. Specialized experience must include producing desired results, in the needed timeframe, with the appropriate level of supervision through the use of appropriate knowledge, skills, abilities, and understanding of the technical requirements of the job. Achieves, demonstrates, and maintains the appropriate qualifications necessary to assume and execute key acquisition and/or support requirements. Plus Demonstrates skilled critical thinking in identifying, analyzing, and solving complex issues, as appropriate. and takes and displays personal accountability in leading, overseeing, guiding, and/or managing programs and projects within assigned areas of responsibility. Plus work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. 2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. 3. Knowledge of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues. 4.Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. 5. Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. 6. Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization. OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS APPLYING TO THIS POSITION: Department of Defense Physical Security Certification (PSC) conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification and AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development. The listed certification requirements may not be delegated or their delegated security career field representative. Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 21 days per year. Physical Required: Due to heavy lifting (approx. 30-50lbs), extended periods of standing or walking, traversing uneven terrain, stooping, kneeling or reaching above head. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
