Senior D365FO Functional Consultant/Product Expert - Contracts & Billing

<p><strong>Senior ERP Functional Consultant / Product Expert with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 expertise</strong> to support and evolve a complex ERP environment focused on <strong>contracts and billing processes</strong> wanted!</p>
<p>This position combines <strong>functional consulting, product ownership, and ERP process expertise</strong>, acting as the key link between business stakeholders, product management, and development teams.</p>
<p>The role is <strong>mostly remote within Germany</strong>, with occasional travel to the office <strong>a few times per month</strong>.</p>
<h2>Tasks</h2>
<p><strong>Your Role</strong></p>
<p>You will contribute across the <strong>full ERP product lifecycle</strong>, from requirements analysis and functional design to implementation, testing, and continuous improvement.</p>
<p><em>Functional Consulting &#x26; Business Analysis</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Analyse business requirements and translate them into <strong>functional ERP solutions</strong></li>
<li>Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops and collaborate with stakeholders</li>
<li>Ensure ERP processes align with operational and business needs</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Product Expertise &#x26; Solution Ownership</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Act as the <strong>functional product expert</strong> for Microsoft Dynamics 365 within the <strong>contracts and billing domain</strong></li>
<li>Support the evolution and optimization of ERP functionality related to contract management</li>
<li>Provide expertise on <strong>document generation and output management through LaserNet integration</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><em>Functional Design &#x26; Documentation</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Produce and maintain <strong>Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)</strong> and <strong>Functional Design Documents (FDD)</strong> (<strong>mandatory</strong>)</li>
<li>Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for development teams</li>
<li>Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of solutions</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Change Management &#x26; Backlog Coordination</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Assess and refine change requests submitted via <strong>Azure DevOps</strong></li>
<li>Evaluate feasibility, organizational impact, and priority for implementation</li>
<li>Contribute to backlog planning and release preparation</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Testing &#x26; Quality Assurance</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Create and execute <strong>functional test cases</strong></li>
<li>Perform <strong>end-to-end testing</strong> based on functional documentation</li>
<li>Validate new features and system changes prior to release</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Support &#x26; Operations</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the triage and qualification of <strong>ITSM incidents and service requests</strong> related to contracts and billing</li>
<li>Coordinate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently</li>
<li>Monitor dashboards and SLAs to ensure timely closure of work items</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Collaboration &#x26; Continuous Improvement</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with ERP experts across <strong>finance, billing, and service domains</strong></li>
<li>Ensure <strong>end-to-end process alignment</strong> across modules</li>
<li>Support ERP lifecycle initiatives including <strong>system upgrades, migrations, and feature rollouts</strong></li>
</ul>
<h2>Requirements</h2>
<p><strong>Your Profile</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>10+ years of experience in <strong>ERP functional consulting and product-oriented roles</strong></li>
<li>Hands-on expertise with <strong>Microsoft Dynamics 365 Operations</strong></li>
<li>Experience working with <strong>contracts and billing modules</strong></li>
<li>Experience with <strong>LaserNet integration or similar document generation solutions</strong></li>
<li><strong>Mandatory experience creating Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) and Functional Design Documents (FDD)</strong></li>
<li>Strong experience in <strong>requirements gathering and functional design</strong></li>
<li>Experience with <strong>ERP testing and test case creation</strong></li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>Azure DevOps, ITSM tools, or service management platforms</strong></li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li>
<li>Excellent stakeholder communication skills</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>German language skills are a plus but not mandatory.</strong></p>
