Recreation Aid (Lifeguard)

This position is located in the Sports, Fitness, and Aquatics Branch, of the Community Services Department, Community Support, Commander Navy Region Korea. The primary purpose of this position is to function as a lifeguard responsible for safeguarding the lives of persons using the respective swimming pool to which assigned.

**Qualifications:**
Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate must be at least 16 years old and possess the following: Must have the understanding and ability to enforce rigid safety regulations to ensure maximum protection of swimmers. Must have tact and diplomacy and the ability to relate well with patrons. Must be able to understand both oral and written instructions provided by supervisor. Knowledge of emergency water safety procedures, policies, written instructions and directives. Ability to use equipment to take pool readings. Dexterity to handle a person in the water who may panic or be unconscious.
