RECREATION ASSISTANT

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Mustang Community Center on Osan AB, South Korea. Work schedule is part time, 20 hours per week. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. For overseas positions, qualified applicants with military spouse preference and family member preference receive hiring priority over other applicants.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience which has provided a general familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs. Must have demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must be able to deal effectively with both children and adults. Experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Work requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and carrying. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. Frequently exposed to possibility of cuts and serious injuries and/or falls. Works both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to elements, cold and heat, humidity, rain, drafts, dirt, dust, and noise. Special care is required to avoid serious injury. Subject to an irregular tour of duty. Position requires satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check w/Inquiries and Food Handler's Certification. Must have a current drivers' license. "This is a drug testing designated position.
