CTO & Late Co-Founder

<p>We are a stealth-stage startup operating in the mobility sector.</p>
<p>We have our first customers, early traction, and are currently raising our pre-seed round.</p>
<p>The company is led by a repeat founder. We are looking for a technical co-founder to own everything engineering — from AI and data architecture to the product itself.</p>
<h2>Tasks</h2>
<ul>
<li>Design and own the end-to-end data architecture: ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving layers</li>
<li>Build AI-powered systems including matching algorithms, dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, and route optimisation</li>
<li>Lead full-stack development of the platform, maintaining solid engineering standards across the codebase</li>
<li>Drive the ML/AI roadmap from early experimentation through to production at scale</li>
<li>Architect backend systems for reliability and scalability as transaction volume grows</li>
<li>Oversee API design and third-party integrations (logistics, telematics, payments)</li>
<li>Hire and build an engineering team as the company grows</li>
<li>Partner with the CEO on fundraising, due diligence, and investor conversations</li>
</ul>
<h2>Requirements</h2>
<p><strong>Must-Haves</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years in an engineering leadership or senior tech lead role, ideally at a fast-moving startup or scale-up</li>
<li>Strong background in data architecture and engineering: pipelines, warehousing, real-time streaming</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with ML/AI systems in production — not just prototypes</li>
<li>Solid full-stack fundamentals, comfortable going deep on backend and across the stack when needed</li>
<li>Fluent in English (written and verbal)</li>
<li>Based in Germany</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice-to-Haves</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with logistics, marketplace, or two-sided platform products</li>
<li>Cloud-native architecture experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)</li>
<li>Additional European languages (German especially welcome)</li>
</ul>
