Back-end Engineer Integration and AI (PHP/Python)

<p>We’re looking for engineers with experience in PHP/ back-end development and<br>
AI integrations to join our integrations team!</p>
<p>You would work with the engineering team to bring new features and improvements<br>
to the server back-end like new authentication or storage mechanisms, audio/video chat and more, as well as integrating AI into the Nextcloud platform (e.g. LLMs,<br>
speech-to-text, and image processing services).<br>
You ideally have open source experience, know your way around git and<br>
Github.</p>
<h2>Tasks</h2>
<ul>
<li>Feature development</li>
<li>Integration of AI services and models (Python / APIs / microservices)</li>
<li>Database design</li>
<li>Systems design</li>
<li>Quality assurance</li>
<li>Project-based development, working on one project for a defined timeframe</li>
</ul>
<h2>Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Technical experience with PHP and bit of HTML, CSS, Javascript</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with Python for AI/ML integrations</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with one or more frontend frameworks like VueJS or React, Angular, Svelte</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with AI/LLM frameworks (e.g. Hugging Face, LangChain)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with REST APIs and REST-based AI services</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Understanding of containerization (Docker) and model deployment workflows</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with speech, vision, or NLP integrations (e.g. Whisper, OCR, embeddings)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge around open source technology</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ideally experience with Nextcloud AI features or similar platforms</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Reliability, independent and self-reliant working style</p>
