Specialized Experience: Current Federal Employees: One year of specialized experience which includes dispatching fire, police and emergency medical services to the scene of the incident; and monitoring fire and security alarm systems; and operating automation, emergency dispatching, and communications equipment such as computer aided dispatch [CAD], land lines, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and cell phones; and assign work to subordinates based on difficulty. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). External Applicants: One year of specialized experience which includes dispatching fire, police and emergency medical services to the scene of the incident; and monitoring fire and security alarm systems; and operating automation, emergency dispatching, and communications equipment such as computer aided dispatch [CAD], land lines, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and cell phones; and assign work to dispatchers during normal daily operations, and Coordinating requests for mutual aid. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Decision Making Manages and Organizes Information Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement Current Federal Employee: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
