Backend PHP Integrations Engineer (m/f/d)

<h2>Your tasks</h2>
<p>We are looking for a Backend PHP Engineer to help build and maintain omnichannel integrations, ensuring seamless data flow across our e-commerce platform, ERP, warehouse, marketplaces, and other key business systems. This role will play a crucial part in optimizing and scaling our integration landscape.</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop, maintain, and optimize integrations between our webshop, ERP, warehouse, marketplaces, and other critical systems</li>
<li>Implement and work with event-driven architectures to enable asynchronous and decoupled system interactions</li>
<li>Work with APIs, webhooks, and message queues to facilitate real-time data exchange</li>
<li>Apply contract testing to ensure seamless communication between services</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to understand integration requirements and improve workflows</li>
<li>Contribute to architectural decisions and propose improvements for long-term maintainability</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain smooth business operations</li>
</ul>
<h2>Your profile</h2>
<ul>
<li>3+ years of hands-on experience with modern PHP, including Symfony</li>
<li>Experience with e-commerce integrations, e.g., ERP, warehouse management, EDI</li>
<li>Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL preferred) and data synchronization patterns</li>
<li>Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous programming (e.g., message queues, event sourcing)</li>
<li>Familiarity with contract testing and API validation tools to ensure robust integrations</li>
<li>Experience working with third-party APIs, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and webhooks</li>
<li>Fluent English communication skills, German is a plus but not mandatory</li>
<li>Problem-solving mindset with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance</li>
