About the Position: Serves as the Chief Advisor, Consultant or subject matter expert, advising the MSCoE senior leaders, Directors, School Commandants, and other key leaders on matters which impact assigned responsibilities. Responds directly to the Deputy to the Commanding General (SES) on matters requiring immediate action.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Demonstrate expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of Homeland Defense and Civil Support (HD/CS) operational requirements; (2) Formulate and refine HD/CS concepts, doctrine, and strategic guidance; and planning, managing, coordinating, and evaluating HD/CS program objectives for performance improvements. (3) Deliver high-level briefings to senior leadership and producing comprehensive, data-driven reports and assessments on HD/CS programs, policies, and operational issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Administration and Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
