<p><b>About the Role</b><br><br>The Application Developer, ServiceNow Platform is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting scalable ServiceNow solutions that meet complex business and operational requirements. Working closely with product owners, business analysts, and architects, this role delivers high-quality solutions across <b>ITSM, CMDB, Now Assist, and core platform capabilities</b>, following ServiceNow development standards and best practices.<br><br>We are seeking a <b>ServiceNow Developer with 6+ years</b> of hands-on experience to build, enhance, and maintain the platform, leveraging <b>Now Assist and generative AI</b> capabilities to automate workflows, improve agent efficiency, and enable intelligent self-service. The role contributes to platform maturity through disciplined release management, reusable development patterns, and secure, API-driven integrations, while ensuring the ServiceNow platform remains stable, performant, compliant, and well-integrated within Uber's broader technical ecosystem.<br><br>--- Basic Qualifications ----<br><br>01. <b>6+ years of experience</b> as a ServiceNow Developer/Engineer working on enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.<br>02. Demonstrated ability to assess and enforce architectural governance, standards, and technical best practices with strong expertise in <b>JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, AJAX</b>, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Script Includes)<br>03. <b>Hands-on experience with Now Assist</b> technologies - generative AI workflows and skill kits on the Now Platform.<br>04. Deep understanding of <b>ITSM</b> modules (Incident, Request) and solid experience with <b>CMDB</b> configuration, including CSDM standards and asset management processes<br>05. Proven experience implementing <b>CI/CD practices for ServiceNow</b>, including source control, automated testing, update set and application lifecycle management, and environment promotion strategies<br>06. Experience supporting and governing <b>citizen development</b> on the ServiceNow platform, including establishing guardrails, standards, and reusable components to enable <b>low-code/no-code</b> development safely<br>07. Proven experience designing and implementing complex integrations using <b>REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and Flow Designer</b><br>08. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator ( <b>CSA</b>) and Certified Application Developer ( <b>CAD</b>) are required<br>09. Excellent <b>analytical and problem-solving skills</b>, with a focus on finding pragmatic and effective solutions to complex technical challenges.<br>10. <b>Strong</b> <b>verbal and written communication</b> skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.<br><br>---- Preferred Qualifications ----<br><br>1. Experience with <b>CI/CD and DevOps on ServiceNow</b> (source control, automated testing, release pipelines); <b>Citizen Development governance</b> experience preferred.<br>2. Experience supporting and governing <b>citizen development</b> on the ServiceNow platform, including establishing guardrails, standards, and reusable components to enable <b>low-code/no-code</b> development safely<br>3. Demonstrated experience using AI-powered developer tools as part of a daily engineering workflow (e.g., AI-assisted coding, debugging, test generation, documentation, or architectural reasoning), with the ability to clearly articulate how these tools improve productivity, quality, and delivery speed<br>4.
