ACCOUNTANT

You will serve as an ACCOUNTANT in the ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE DIVISION (N8211) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

**Qualifications:**
For the GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience identifying material discrepancies within the budget and account balances, making recommended corrective actions to leadership. Experience providing financial management advisory services concerning receipting/expensing of the entire receipting process. Experience utilizing financial management regulations, policies, procedures, and programs as it pertains to the World Capital Fund and the Command's Financial Management System (FMS) in order to validate account balances. Experience analyzing budgetary and proprietary account balances, presenting findings to leadership that maintain to accountability and fiscal integrity. Experience assisting senior accountants with identifying material discrepancies within the budget and account balances. Experience utilizing capital fund policies, and accounting practices. Experience processing and validating account balances in order to fully reconcile the account balances within the General Ledger.
