Job Description
You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS OFFICER in the Air Terminal Operations Division of NAVAL AIR TERMINAL.
**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience administering, supervising, and controlling all Air Transportation Operations Center (ATOC) resources involving planning, organizing, directing, and operating air transportation systems and services. Experience applying knowledge of the DoW Defense Transportation System and AMC aerial port functions, transporting aircraft and related load characteristics, handling hazardous and explosive cargo movement procedures and compatibility, and understanding procedures for review and submission of the AMC Form 56. Experience researching issues such as mishaps, aircraft delays, and agencies/customers problems. Experience monitoring Material Handling Equipment (MHE), selecting only highly qualified and motivated personnel to perform ATOC duties, and ensuring ATOC personnel can transition to a manual operation if automated systems are not available. Experience initiating Green Sheet action when necessary to meet a DoW component RDD for a Green Sheet shipment, ability to read, comprehend, and use Air Force instructions, DoW/DoT regulations/instructions, Navy regulations/instructions, and other publications. And experience recognizing and deterring events that can lead to aircraft departure delays and/or safety incidents and prevent them.
