This position is located in the Civil Division, Office of Management Programs, Office of Information Technology (OIT). The incumbent serves as a senior executive-level leader responsible for directing enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud modernization, and cybersecurity initiatives supporting mission-critical operations. This is a supervisory position responsible for leading large-scale IT programs and managing a high-performing technical workforce.
**Qualifications:**
To qualify for the position of Assistant Chief Information Officer for Infrastructure Services at GS-2210-15, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience and selective placement factor. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level as listed in the qualifications below. Time-in-Grade applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): To be found fully qualified for this position, applicants must demonstrate experience administering, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based computing environments, including migrating systems and workloads from on-premises environments to cloud platforms (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and decommissioning legacy systems in support of infrastructure modernization. To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service, performing duties such as: leading enterprise IT infrastructure operations (e.g., cloud, network, systems, telecommunications, or storage); planning and executing IT modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption and system migrations; developing or implementing IT strategies, policies, or enterprise architecture aligned with organizational goals and federal requirements; managing cybersecurity or information assurance efforts, including risk mitigation and application of security frameworks or zero trust principles; and supervising technical staff or managing large-scale IT programs while advising senior leadership on IT investments, risks, and strategic direction.
