Youth Sports Assistant

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Youth Center (ages 5-12 years old) at Travis Air Force Base, CA. Work Schedule: Intermittent (Flexible) employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. Eligible to use base facilities such as: Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Rec, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and the Arts & Crafts Center. Tuition Assistance after one year!

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of basic program, plans, operating procedures, and rules and regulations of the youth sports programs is desirable. Must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals or groups, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy. Must possess maturity and good judgment and like working with children, youth, and their parents.
