Job Description
You will serve as a CONTRACT PRICE/COST ANALYST in the ACQUISITION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
**Qualifications:**
GS-13: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Contracting cost and price analysis principles, procedures, and techniques to analyze the negotiation of various cost elements on a wide range of complex contract proposals autonomously; 2) reviewing price and cost for complex service contracts involving significant contract changes and rigid timelines without supervision; 3) translating or presenting data to reflect the effects on the cost of multi-plant operations, production volume engineering, tooling, and a variety of business practices; and 4) Analyzing reports of auditors and evaluating contractor's cost estimating and accounting systems independently; and 5) provide presentations of cost analysis results consisting of senior contracting personnel. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with contracting cost and price analysis principles, procedures, and techniques to analyze the negotiation of various cost elements on a wide range of complex contract proposals; 2) collaborating with team members to review price and cost for complex service contracts involving significant contract changes and rigid timelines; 3) Aiding with the presentation of data to reflect the effects on the cost of multi-plant operations, production volume engineering, tooling, and a variety of business practices; and 4) Assisting with random sampling and regression analysis to develop a pricing position.
