VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST (PROJECT MANAGER)

This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the work involving the completion of graphics and printing work requests in support of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and over 4300 Joint Staff personnel. .

**Qualifications:**
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Understanding visual functions including computer graphics, computer modeling, engineering design, and analyses software, digital photography, graphic illustration, digital editing software and hardware, multimedia production, graphics/exhibits, computer software and hardware; Applying methods and techniques of communicating information through visual means and ability to apply the principles of visual design to present subject matter information in a variety of digital forms/formats that will convey the intended message to specific audiences; Using qualitative and quantitative techniques to conduct studies/research and recommend solutions for selection/application and production of current and future technologies while ensuring the most cost-effective utilization available; Understanding project management processes sufficient to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
