Job Description
Serves as a supervisor of the Flight Data Communications Specialists. Accomplishes tasks assigned to the organization directly through supervision of subordinate employees.
**Qualifications:**
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, FG/GS-9/11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic control procedures. Qualifying specialized experience may have been gained in work such as: Qualifying SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE may have been gained in work such as: Civilian or military aircraft operations work, such as flight instructor, instrument rated pilot, flight engineer, or air transport pilot; FAA certified dispatcher for an air carrier; Flight information expediter involved in determining flight times of airplanes and transmitting information to flight operations and command centers; Civilian or military air traffic controller; Flight data processor; OR Training: Successful completion of an FAA or military air traffic control training program; OR Certificate: Possession of an FAA Control Tower Operator certificate. Candidates will be evaluated on four "Managerial Selection Factors". Managerial Selection Factors: Candidates must provide separate narrative responses to address his/her experience in MWP Selection Factors 1 through 4. In the text box following each Leadership and Management Dimensions, please provide a brief explanation of your possession of the applicable Leadership and Management Dimension.
