Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & COMPENSATION) in the Recruitment and Compensation Department, Production Resource Division of the Fleet Human Resources office of FLEET HRO NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience advising managers and supervisors on staffing and recruitment requirements, resources, and problems involving a high degree of complexity. Experience advising management on recruitment strategies, sources, special programs, recruitment, relocation, and retention incentive programs. Experience researching the qualifications and skills needed and conducting job analyses with subject matter experts to distinguish truly well qualified applicant and those with the ability to learn the job in reasonable periods of time. Experience explaining regulations, procedures, and determinations to inquiring employees, candidates, and supervisors. Experience providing guidance and recommendations for a variety of compensation related services, including pay determinations for new and continuing employees, recruitment, relocation and retention incentives, superior qualification appointments, credit for non-federal service towards annual leave and repayment of student loans.
