Job Description

You will serve as a NON-NUCLEAR ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONICS CONTINUING TRAINING/DEVELOPMENT MANAGER in the Electrical/Electronics Shop (Code 950) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning shipyard work operations, control system requirements, trade and shop practices. Experience analyzing and providing shop personnel training and development program. Experience applying knowledge of production trade work and technical methods, procedures, materials and processes associated with the repair and overhaul of complex Navy vessels. Experience understanding a wide range of education and training principles, techniques, and practices as well as knowledge of OSHA, NAVSEA, Federal/State environmental regulations. Experience investigating and analyzing practices and problems to initiate effective improvements and solutions. Experience managing a project or portion of a project which involves directing federal wage system and general schedule employees.
