Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing specific Architect Engineering (A-E) contract products associated with all phases of the A-E contract process in accordance with established policies and procedures; leading a A-E Contract Management team by assisting in group facilitation, coordination, coaching, problem solving, interpersonal communication, integration of work processes and products, obtaining resources; utilizing A-E contract databases and resources to manage an organization, budgeting, and planning for A-E contract assignments; and assessing a variety of fixed-price and indefinite delivery contracts and special provision clauses to negotiate various cost elements for initial contracts as well as for post-award changes and settlements to monitor contract performance of the life of contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
