You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/GEOLOGIST in ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS LINE the of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
**Qualifications:**
This position has a Selective Placement Factor. If applying for the GS-0819, Professional Environmental Engineering Series, you must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Do you meet this requirement? NOTE: You must submit a copy of professional registration with your application. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing Environmental Restoration guidance, advice, and assistance to installations; 2) Providing administration, coordination management, and updating of Command's Environmental Restoration Program budget and technical databases (e.g., NORM, Naval Installation Restoration Information Solution (NIRIS), various Geographic Information System (GIS) systems); 3) Planning, supervising, inspecting, and advising on the more complex work assignments; 4) Preparing detailed cost estimates for use in obtaining project and overall activity-wide Environmental Restoration program funding; 5) Effectively discuss and resolve issues with people representing various organizations.
