Job Description
The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment.
**Qualifications:**
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. (1) Experience providing advice, assistance and management of a hazardous materials incident preparedness and response program. (2) Experience planning, presenting, documenting, and evaluating an emergency medical training program. (3) Ability to apply knowledge of CBRN agents and WMD incident prevention, intervention, mitigation, and resolution procedures, policies and tactics to an actual hazardous materials incident response. (4) Possession of excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills necessary to prepare and present effective and easily understood training plans, procedures, and exercises.
