Job Description
You will serve as a Painter Training Leader in the Human Capital Management Division, Command Operations Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Lead or Supervise and includes performing common tasks under general supervision including: 1) Ensuring that all painting and inspections of aircraft and components are conducted in accordance with prescribed standards and specifications; 2) Helping with the preparation of aircraft and components for painting and aiding with quality control procedures; 3) Reviewing work with teammates for compliance with technical requirements, blueprints, and safety standards; 4) Ensuring aircraft and components are prepared and painted per standards, inspecting cleanliness, verifying specialty coatings, and measuring thickness with precision tools; and 5) Working with aircraft and components painting processes, including surface preparation, and specialized coatings (e.g., elastomeric and conductive).
