Job Description
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Reference Service team; the teams are located within one of the Core Units, Military Personnel Records Center, National Personnel Records Center, National Archives and Records Administration. The Reference Service teams provide world-class customer service and are tasked with continually improving the responsiveness and quality of service provided to the customer.
**Qualifications:**
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-06: You must have at least one year of experience at the GS-05 level or equivalent that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes: Responding to customer inquiries, verbally or in writing. AND Applying regulations and policies to accomplish work assignments. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following requirements, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): Time-in-Grade: For the GS-06, you must have been at the GS-05 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
