This position is located at the Family Advocacy Program (FAP), Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The mission of Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Warfighter & Family Readiness (WFR) is to provide the highest quality programs and services to the military community through self-sustainment across all quality of life programs. ***Recruitment and Relocation Bonuses/Incentives may be negotiable in accordance with agency policy.***

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in any of the following disciplines: social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling, behavioral science or public health. Must have two years of experience in a family and children's services public agency or family and children's services community organization. One year of experience must be in prevention, intervention, or treatment of non-normative sexual behaviors in children and youth, child abuse and domestic abuse. Must be under the supervision of a Family Advocacy Representative (FAR) in accordance with DoD policies. Knowledge of the dynamics of problematic sexual behaviors in children and youth as well as domestic, interpersonal and family violence to include child abuse and neglect. Intensive practical knowledge of community resources and services, crisis intervention, and bow individuals in distress may quickly obtain the types of assistance they need. Knowledge of laws pertaining to family relationships and protection of children and adults. Not required to have formal training in aspects of law, but must be knowledgeable of laws that pertain to domestic abuse and child abuse and neglect as well as non-normative sexual behaviors in children and youth. Knowledge of military organizations, missions, lifestyles, and situations which can contribute to family stress, problems and crisis situations. Ability to demonstrate skill to interact with diverse individuals during crisis situations, including persons in the medical, legal, and social service communities. Ability to express oneself orally and in writing in a professional manner, to deal with diversified groups, individuals and organizations, and to compose written reports and material clearly, concisely and effectively. Skill to develop, coordinate, recommend and review prevention and intervention plans, materials, and policies to enhance support and programming that strengthens individual and family functioning, community and command awareness of the importance of the CCR to child abuse, domestic abuse and, problematic sexual behaviors, and prepares and sustains capabilities of commanders, Active Duty service members, and military spouses for mission readiness. Experience delivering education and training using a variety of techniques and methods. Competent in developing specialized training materials with the ability to deliver effective interactive trainings and briefings. Skills in public speaking. Skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively orally and in writing with service members, family members, command, military agencies, and civilian agencies. Knowledge of the military structure and environment preferred. Ability to identify trend, service gaps, and policy improvements and develop recommendations based on installation specific data, current research, and evaluation outcomes. Work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
