Job Description
Telework availability is limited and will only be provided on a rare case-by-case basis during situations where Agency Leadership has determined that telework serves a compelling DoD need. The minimum salary for grade GS-09 is $64,406, the maximum salary is $83,733. The minimum salary for grade GS-11 is $77,926, the maximum salary is $101,309.
**Qualifications:**
To be hired at the GS-9 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience for the GS-9 is defined as: Demonstrated experience in administering a wide range of security programs, policies, and procedures for facilities operations. Experienced in security disciplines, concepts, principles, and practices applicable to physical security, and information security programs To be hired at the GS-11 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience for the GS-11 is defined as: Demonstrating a broad range of security concepts, principles, and practices in order to assess and resolve difficult security problems for an organization; or utilizing technical expertise related to information or physical security to effectively implement, integrate, and administer applicable security programs in coordination with other specialized security programs. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. In accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual 3305.13-M "DoD Security Accreditation and Certification", this position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP). As such, the individual selected for this position must obtain and/or maintain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). Individuals who do not meet the applicable certification requirements must obtain it within two years after the first duty day in this position. Upon appointment to this position, the selectee must also sign an agreement acknowledging the SFPC requirement as a condition of employment and agree to allow DoD to access and monitor the certification qualifications associated with this DSP.
