Job Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MAINTENCE PLANNING BRANCH of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

**Qualifications:**
GS-11: 1) Understanding of the advanced concepts, theories, principles and practices of Integrated Product Support (IPS) necessary to create and establish innovative and effective program policies and procedures for aircraft, engines, components support equipment, trainers, and other major systems as required by the U.S. Navy, other DoD activities, and authorized Foreign Military (FMS) organizations. 2) Understanding of Logistics Product Database (LPD) deliverables in accordance with government and industry directives, guidance and standards. 3) Demonstrated skill and personal art in exercising diplomacy and tact in negotiations, conversations, correspondence, etc., especially when diverse and opposing points of view, goals or objectives are expressed. 4) Knowledge of the relationships among design characteristics. 5) Theory, concepts, principles and practices of all aspects of the broad field of logistics management. GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Comprehensive knowledge of the advanced concepts, theories, principles and practices of Integrated Product Support (IPS) necessary to create and establish innovative and effective program policies and procedures for aircraft, engines, components support equipment, trainers, and other major systems as required by the U.S. Navy, other DoD activities, and authorized Foreign Military (FMS) organizations. 2) In-depth knowledge of Logistics Product Database (LPD) deliverables in accordance with government and industry directives, guidance and standards. 3) Demonstrated skill and personal art in exercising diplomacy and tact in negotiations, conversations, correspondence, etc., especially when diverse and opposing points of view, goals or objectives are expressed. 4) Knowledge of the relationships among design characteristics; support systems and associated total costs of ownership. 5) Theory, concepts, principles and practices of all aspects of the broad field of logistics management that enables the incumbent to fully appreciate and understand life-cycle support considerations and systems acquisition management.
