Job Description
The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment.
**Qualifications:**
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. For the CP-13 level you must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-12/GS-14 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes: 1) Leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams, directing workload, and aligning resources to achieve organizational goals; 2) Applying expert knowledge of supply, property, and asset management to oversee enterprise‐wide logistics, inventory, and accountability programs, including sensitive assets such as weapons and ammunition; 3) Developing, interpreting, and implementing agency policies, standards, and operational guidance for logistics, supply support, and asset management functions; and 4) Managing complex programs and projects, using advanced analytical, problem‐solving, and performance‐measurement techniques to address enterprise‐level challenges and ensure effective cost, schedule, and outcome management. Highly Desirable: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
