Qualification requirements for GS-08 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience performing support duties which includes screening purchase requests for completeness and adequacy of purchase description; assisting in price analysis to evaluate prices for the procurement of items using automated small purchase systems sufficient to locate, add and retrieve information. This definition of specialized is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Qualification requirements for GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience performing support duties which includes using unilateral instruments to establish contracts, i.e. purchase orders, call against blanket purchase agreements and credit card purchase; monitoring vendors performance through contract and review of progress reports; compiling a Bidders List of possible suppliers using automated small purchase systems sufficient to locate, add and retrieve information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
