CONTRACT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Procurement Group, Aircraft Support Contracts Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

**Qualifications:**
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Planning, developing, and administering all aspects of a procurement to include pre and post award functions in support of a major program or services contracting acquisition; (2) Utilizing price/cost analysis techniques to evaluate proposals and prepare associated documentation; (3) Applying negotiation techniques to conduct negotiations with high level business, industry, scientific, and/or government officials; (4) Providing acquisition advice and researching information in support of long-range planning and business strategies in support of contracting initiatives; (5) Interpreting acquisition regulations such as the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) as well as Command acquisition policy and providing guidance to customers in support of contracting initiatives; (6) Representing the government in all contractual discussions and attending program reviews with contractors.
