Job Description
As a Billing and Accounts Receivable Director (Supervisory Accountant), you will assist short- and long-range planning and the execution of actions, which impact the Division. Location of position: OCFO provides the full suite of financial services to GSA to ensure proper management of the agency's financial resources. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service. Accountant Qualifications: Basic Requirements: You must have either A or B, or C: A. Degree in accounting B. Degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. C. A combination of college level education and experience. Refer to OPM's Accounting Qualification Standard for more information. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience defined as providing technical advice and guidance, in accounting, by leading and coordinating the efforts of a team of professionals, to solve data issues for systems, applications, and customers. This experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical guidance related to financial or accounting issues, programs or systems; Assessing and participating in new system or process development and/or enhancement to improve program effectiveness; Advising on the implementation of accounting procedures and programs; and Organizing and leading teams to solve accounting data issues and identifying analytical processes.
