This job opportunity is located in the Survey Processing Branch, National Processing Center (NPC), Jeffersonville, IN. This position leads employees in statistical assistant assignments in support of programs. Assists statisticians in collecting, processing, analyzing, editing, and presenting data.

To qualify for the position of Lead Statistical Assistant, at GS-1531-8, you must meet the minimum and/or basic qualification requirements listed below. Specialized Experience: For the GS-08, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes having practical knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques to research and gather pertinent data from a variety of sources and use it to analyze the information received to verify it is in tolerance with established guidelines; edit data to be used for statistical reporting. Education cannot be substituted at this grade. Employees on a permanent appointment who were hired through a Recruiting Bulletin, who have not served in their current appointment for at least 90 days, are not eligible to apply.
