Job Description
You will serve as a HEALTH PHYSICIST in the Radiological Control Office (C105) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
**Qualifications:**
GS-09 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional HEALTH PHYSICIST providing radiation emergency planning functions for a team or unit such as: assisting with the collection, preparation, analysis, and evaluation of radiation survey data and reports; recommending improvements to radiological control practices and prevention efforts; assisting in the development of radiological control technical documentation, training, and presentations; and/or utilizing professional health physics theories, methods, and principles to provide informed technical guidance on radiological control policies and procedures. GS-07 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional HEALTH PHYSICIST providing radiation emergency planning functions for a team or unit such as: assisting with the collection of hazardous samples; performing scientific analysis to assist with the preparation of reports of findings; sharing information with internal and external customers; and/or applying professional health physics theories, methods, and principles to perform radiological surveys.
