Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD1818000 and is part of the WY 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

**Qualifications:**
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows: Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. TECHNICIAN INFO Type of Appointment: Permanent Tenure: Group 1 or 2 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm FLSA: Exempt Telework: The duties of this position require primary physical presence. Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Technician Position #1: 1143881 (Chief Inspector) Technician Position #2: 0857065 (Inspector) Selecting Official: CMSgt Larry Quinn MILITARY GRADES Inspector Position: Min: E-6/TSgt (Must be eligible for promotion to E-7/MSgt) Max: E-7/MSgt Chief Inspector Position: Min: E-7/MSgt (Must be eligible for promotion to E-8/SMSgt) Max: E-8/SMSgt Enlisted applicant's military grade cannot exceed the maximum military grade authorized. Over-grade applicants must provide a written demotion statement of understanding with application, willingness to be administratively reduced in grade if selected for this position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade and experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements, and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Must possess experience working on or supporting C-130 aircraft. NOTE: Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Candidates must possess one of the required Aerospace Maintenance AFSCs listed below for the position applying for: Inspector Position: E-6 (Promotable to E-7)/E-7: 2A57X, 2A67X, 2A77X, or 2A97X Chief Inspector Position: E-7 (Promotable to E-8)/E-8: 2A571, 2A671H, 2A674, 2A675, 2A676, 2A771, 2A772, 2A773, 2A974 and able to obtain 9 level. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
