This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Management and Policy. **Qualifications:**

In order to qualify for the GS-12 grade level, you must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. This experience must have provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position. analyzing and interpreting Medicare and Medicaid claims data to identify trends, anomalies, or findings in support of program objectives; and using Structured Query Language (SQL) to query, manipulate, and optimize data within large-scale databases; and utilizing open-source tools, including Python and Git, to develop, manage, and version control data solutions; and developing, connecting, and integrating semantic layers to consumption tools via APIs to enable data accessibility reporting; and generating data products and reports to support oversight activities such as audits, evaluations, and investigations. In addition to the qualifications listed above, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Problem-Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week. Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
