Job Description
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for The Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Chemical Equipment Repairer without more than normal supervision. Duties which include working with chemical OR biological protective equipment and perform troubleshooting tasks to diagnose the extent of repairs required. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Work is performed in standing, stooping and bending positions. Work is occasionally performed in a sitting position while making repairs at a workbench or using test equipment. Frequently handles items weighing 5-25 pounds and occasionally is required to lift items in excess of 45 pounds Work is normally performed in a moderately lighted, heated and ventilated shop. Incumbents are subject to dirt and grease during work operations; also exposed to equipment under hydrostatic test up to 3000 psi. Work requires occasional use of protective clothing such as asbestos suits, rubber coats, aprons, gloves, masks, etc.
