TITLE 32 ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CIVIL) (MI CRTC)

THIS IS AN AIR FORCE NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TITLE 32 ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CIVIL) (MI CRTC), Position Description Number NGD1519P01 and is part of the MI Alpena CRTC, Michigan Air National Guard.

**Qualifications:**

Military Grades: E1-E6 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 - Must have 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level experience, education, or training with knowledge of basic standard engineering principles, methods and practices. Experience reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specifications. Experience planning, scheduling and supervising; exercising initiative and sound judgment. Experience using a variety of inspection techniques and practices to determine compliance with plans and specifications. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Engineering technicians may be certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, an organization sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers. Certification by the Institute will be helpful as a measure of the technician's quality of experience. MILITARY REQUIREMENT: For Dual-Status Technician positions service affiliation under Title 32 USC 709 is required. Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS.
