Supply Technician

This position serves as a Supply Technician at the William S. Middleton VA Medical Center, Madison, WI and is responsible to ensure that adequate supplies are on hand to provide prosthetic equipment to patients.

**Qualifications:**
IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE GS-5 LEVEL YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-4 level of Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience includes providing supplies and material to clinical and administrative areas of a complex health care facility; monitoring expiration dates; pulling stock, replenishing stock and maintaining records on stock levels; scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing and distributing medical and surgical supplies, instruments and other material; utilizing an automated system to maintain inventory. (THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE SUPPORTED BY YOUR RESUME TO BE CREDITABLE.) ~OR~ EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: You must have successfully completed 4 years above high school in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must be obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
