This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Human Resources Division, Employee Relations & Safety/Workers' Compensation Section, Employee Relations Unit. This position(s) primary purpose is to provide for the administration of programs related to formal and informal discipline, adverse actions, grievances, appeals, performance, rewards, etc.

Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading or managing a Human Resources team performing employee relations functions; 2) Providing authoritative guidance to agency leadership on performance management programs (i.e. adverse actions, employee recognition); 3) Ensuring compliance with regulatory laws, policies, and procedures as it relates to employee relations; and 4) Analyzing, evaluating, and developing major aspects of agency-wide employee relations programs. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
