These positions are available in the Districts of Northern West Virginia, Clarksburg, WV and Northern New York, Syracuse, NY. The selectees of these positions serve as a Program Support Specialist. You are responsible for maintaining and implementing internal controls for all program areas. In the absence of the AO, serves as district's primary point of contact for administrative functions.
**Qualifications:**
GS-11 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0301-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: 1) providing office administrative services in order to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; and 3) compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy; OR B. Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.M. degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position, examples of qualifying fields include Business Administration, and Finance; OR C. Possess a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as referenced above, to qualify me for this position. Only graduate education in excess of two years (i.e., 36 semester hours) may be combined with experience under this standard. You may qualify at the GS-0301-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: 1) providing oversight of office administrative services in order to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; 3) compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy; 4) serving as a liaison between management and the human resources office in order to provide advice and assistance on HR matters; and 5) monitoring, and/or approving, and controlling accountable government equipment, material, and supplies.
